While filming his first lead role in a short film, at 8 years old, he realized he wanted to work behind the camera too. Every set he was on became an opportunity to learn more about the filmmaking process. When he entered middle school, he declared that he was going to go to film school for college and he never looked back.
As a high school student he began writing and directing his own short films. During this time he entered and won awards in several film festivals and competitions.
